[Secretive]: Probably the most defining thing about Fogheart's personality. Whether it's important information, an opinion, or simply something about himself, the chances of him talking to someone about it is little to none; this is either because he doesn't feel the need to share or he doesn't consider anyone worthy of his time long enough to share something with them. Whatever the reason, however, he keeps his lips sealed, and you better have a damn good reason to ask him for information, because you might be reduced to ashes before he budges.

[Deceptive]: He certainly knows how to throw a pretty cover over something terrible - just think oriental rug over a decomposing dead person. Yes, he runs into lots of unpleasant situations, but he always knows just how to colour over it so that it either looks a lot better or something next to it looks paled by comparison. He also seems to be a lot of a compulsive liar, and sometimes lies to others just for the sake of lying.

[Charming]: Fogheart is a bucket of charisma, and he makes sure that you know it. Even if he's completely detached from the conversation, he'll skillfully play across his detachment through well-placed nods and meaningful glances...he also is pretty good with charming other cats, males or females, and can seduce both with cleverly-assimilated words and turn of phrase. He isn't much of a romanticist, but you sure as hell aren't going to realize that the first time around.

[Quick]: Not only is he physically quick, but he's mentally fast, and he can solve puzzles and problems quickly using strategic and logical reasoning. He's not braggy about this endowment, but he does use it pretty often, even when hunting and engaging in normal conversation.

[Vague]: In addition to his secretive nature, he's also very vague, and doesn't ever give a straight answer for anything, no matter who's asking or who he's talking to. It isn't because he suffers from lack of respect as much as he just enjoys making people work for their answers, just out of entertainment. Needless to say, this is quite annoying when the answer is necessary for survival...he's gotten in trouble several times for this shortcoming.

[Ambitious]: Nothing can stop him from becoming leader of Shadowclan...nothing.

History
Fogheart's history can't be placed for sure, simply because he hasn't been straightforward with anyone who's asked. His mother was a young queen named Lightbreath, known for being sickly in her clan...she was mated to a warrior, Splinterclaw, and the two were very close. Fogheart was born in the fall, named for his smokey white pelt, and had a good enough kithood with very few big problems. But from a young age, his father realized his son's very obvious cleverness, and soon began harbouring in him his own ambition to be the deputy of the clan; this carried through to his adulthood, and even though his father died when he was younger, he never felt relief from the pressure Splinterclaw placed on his shoulders. Fogheart wouldn't quit until he was deputy, and now that this has been achieved, he has his sights on leader...it's a dark ambition, and one that will never leave, but then again, when has Fogheart ever been known to give up?

Finally...his shift was broken. Beck padded away from his post at the palace entrance, leaving its protection safely in Astrid's more-than-capable paws as he unbuckled the blade from his tail. He had somewhere to be that evening...he had made a promise that needed to be kept. It was because of this that he trotted to the graveyard with such swiftness, his bandy, lanky form darting in and out of the shadows of the sleeping city as he slipped into the gates of the cemetery, instantly beginning to head for one tombstone in particular; and he didn't stop until he was standing before it. His orange eyes were half-lidded as he read the name etched into the stone... Backstabber. His tattered cloak and heavy golden collar hung from the grave, rustling faintly in the breeze. Beck stared at it for a moment, then quietly sat, hanging his head slightly with an exhale. "Ah, Backstabber... I'd never liked that name," the tom said quietly to the grave. "I'm the one who left you behind. If anyone should have that title it's me...I should be in that grave, not you." Beck's shoulders began trembling, but he sighed again, and with a shaky breath the tears were gone. "Old friend..." So involved was he with the grave that he had no realization of the only other figure present in the darkness.

Perhaps as a part of his secretive, 'fake' nature, he's always smiling with his eyes closed...whenever his eyes do open, he's probably about to kill someone.

Although he doesn't really have a whole lot to his figure and his strength is diminutive, he has an alarming amount of speed, and the amount of accuracy he can put into a blow is sometimes mind-blowing. This is mostly an ode to the fact that he never attacks without thinking about his move first...he doesn't strike often, but when he does, the results are uncanny.

He's not known to have fallen in love in his life; in fact, it's unknown if he even has the capacity to care for another cat. Of course, he's not going to let you believe that.
