Dog - there was a period of his life where he was constantly drunk and causing his town mischief, and he was captured and released from jails so often that the townsfolk took to calling him "the mad dog", sometimes shortened to just "Dog". His spiked dog collar is a commemoration from this time, and he always wears this collar, complete with a custom tag on it that says "captain".

Appearance
A tall, pretty lanky guy with a very slender, wiry frame. He has even-coloured skin, with long, messy hair that's split into two colours (the left being black, the right being a silvery white). He has one bright green eye, and where one is missing he has a mechanical eye patch that simply appears as a blue plate; it's unknown whether this eye can see or not. He wears a burgundy red trench coat over a shirtless chest, and loose pants that are tucked into thick, strapped black boots. A hook replaces one of his hands, and he loves accessories; he wears so many odd bits and ends that he is known to jingle slightly when he walks. He wears a silver-trimmed tricorner hat, and has a scar stretching across the bridge of his nose.
Personality
Basil's kind of a wild card. He's quite an infamous pirate captain in Europe, with his own crew of about five or six hands. His first mate, Isaac, king of deals with all of the hard stuff with being a pirate, like economics and politics; he also serves as a bit of a boredom-buster and one-night-stander whenever Basil gets bored. Basil does all of the really pirate-y things, like looting, drinking himself into semi-comas, and flirting with all the scantily-clad courtesans...and he loves it all. He's not a total asshole, and he has quite the capacity for kindness when it counts; for instance, he's the kind of guy to freely donate to beggars when he has the extra change, and his manners aren't unheard of, even though he certainly is no gentleman. He does have a little bit of a temper, though, and he can be irresponsible at times, leaving Isaac to make most of his majour decisions for him. He runs the vessel Damnation, which he's gotten quite attached to...seriously. If he catches anyone defacing his ship someone will end up dead and buried in Mexico.

She's also the one to guard the women of the ship, however rare they are. Fly is much more patience than her older brother, usually the one to sleep on the captain's bed and seeking attention like any other dog would... She is also very close to her brother, and she's terribly afraid of swimming in deep water. Missing her left eye.
